:::Homeikan Honkan (Main Building):::

Honkan is a 120 year old building. It was originally built as a boarding house and remodeled as a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) a few years after World War II. Honkan was designated as The Tangible Cultural Property as a means to protect its historical and artistic value. Honkan exudes old-world charm etched in its bygone architectures gracing its guest room and notable bathhouses.

A variety of precious wood materials are exceptional.  The old fashioned souvenir shop leads to a nostalgic ambiance.
